Hybrid Hypercar HMI — Instrument Cluster & Infotainment

Full-cycle HMI development for a flagship hybrid hypercar by a prestigious Italian supercar manufacturer — from toolchain selection and prototyping through to production validation with Tier 1 suppliers.

Hybrid Hypercar HMI — Instrument Cluster & Infotainment

La Sfida

The manufacturer was developing a groundbreaking hybrid hypercar that demanded an entirely new instrument cluster interface. The HMI needed to communicate complex powertrain data — including electric and combustion modes — through a premium, driver-focused interface. Critically, components such as the steering wheel trackpads were still being defined during development, requiring the HMI team to work with simulated hardware throughout prototyping.

La Nostra Soluzione

Our founder led the HMI development from the earliest stages, driving toolchain evaluation and selecting Kanzi as the graphics engine. The team built the full graphic model, integrated simulated components including developmental steering wheel trackpads, and delivered a prototype that evolved into the production interface. During the production phase, the team conducted rigorous CAN Bus validation using Vector CANalyzer and PCAN-View, managed deliveries to Tier 1 suppliers, and ensured accurate content inclusion across all use cases.

Risultati

  • Successful toolchain selection (Kanzi) that carried through to production
  • Seamless prototype-to-production transition with Tier 1 supplier collaboration
  • Comprehensive CAN Bus validation of all delivered use cases
  • Integration of still-in-development hardware components via simulation
